Privacy Notice
Surrey and Sussex Anaesthetists (SASA) uses limited personal and health information where necessary to provide and administer anaesthetic services.
Information we may process
This may include your name, date of birth, contact details, hospital number, details of your procedure and relevant insurance or billing information. Information may be provided by you, the hospital, your insurer or other healthcare professionals involved in your care.
How we use your information
We use this information to identify patients correctly, coordinate anaesthetic care, maintain appropriate records and administer fees, insurance claims and payments. We process personal information where necessary for the provision and administration of healthcare and related business activities, and health information is handled as special-category data in accordance with UK data-protection law.
Who can access your information
Information is only available to authorised SASA anaesthetists and administrative staff where required for their role. We may also use secure technology providers to host or process information on our behalf, subject to appropriate confidentiality, security and data-protection arrangements. We do not sell patient information or use it for marketing.
How long we keep information
We retain information only for as long as required for clinical, professional, financial or legal purposes and use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to protect it.
Your rights
You may ask us for access to information held about you or request that inaccurate information is corrected. For privacy questions or requests, contact admin@sasa-llp.com . You also have the right to raise concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Google Calendar integration
SASA partners may choose to connect their Google Calendar to the SASA Partner App. Where they do so, SASA uses Google Calendar access only to create, update and remove calendar entries relating to that individual partner’s confirmed SASA work.
SASA does not use Google Calendar access to store or process patient names, patient identifiers, clinical information or billing details, and does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling or unrelated purposes.
Access can be disconnected by the partner at any time.
SASA’s use of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
